Salesforce Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire PredictSpring

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PredictSpring, a modern retail Point-of-Sale (POS) software vendor built natively in the cloud.

Following the close of the transaction, PredictSpring will enable Salesforce to provide a unified omnichannel platform spanning digital and physical channels. PredictSpring will complement existing Customer 360 capabilities and bring Salesforce’s technology further into the physical store.

PredictSpring’s Cloud POS solutions enable store associates to engage shoppers and complete transactions from anywhere in the store via a mobile device. In addition to Cloud POS, the store solutions include Clienteling, Endless Aisle, Store Fulfillment, and Store Operations capabilities that empower store associates and streamline and personalize the shopping experience across physical and digital touchpoints.

“Consumers demand a retail experience that seamlessly blends physical and digital shopping,” says Jeff Amann, EVP, Salesforce Industries. “The combined talent, resources, and innovation of Salesforce and PredictSpring will empower brands and retailers to drive frictionless and personalized engagement across all touchpoints.”

“We are excited about the future of PredictSpring and about what this means for the retail industry at large,” says Nitin Mangtani, Founder & CEO, PredictSpring. “PredictSpring has taken great pride in powering omnichannel experiences for many of the world’s leading brands and retailers, and we’re energized by the opportunity to make an even greater impact on the future of shopping as part of Salesforce.”

PredictSpring is an existing Salesforce ecosystem partner with several strategic retail customers and is already integrated with Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud.

Salesforce looks forward to welcoming the PredictSpring team to the Salesforce family once the acquisition closes, which is expected to occur in the third quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.

This transaction does not result in any change to Salesforce’s current financial guidance previously provided in May 2024 and we will not be disclosing any further financial details.
