When we first opened access to the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, we were excited to see what developers around the world would create. From intelligent productivity tools for developers to brand-new creative applications, we’ve seen how developers are using AI to empower people by automating tedious tasks, facilitating complex problems, and fostering creative exploration.

At Google I/O, we challenged the developer community to use the Gemini API to tackle real-world challenges in our Gemini API Developer Competition. We received thousands of submissions, and today we’re announcing the winners.

These apps are great examples of what’s possible with Gemini. Here’s how developers around the world used Gemini to:

• Transform productivity: Imagine tools that automate tedious tasks, provide insightful code suggestions and streamline workflows. Gemini is making this a reality for apps like Jayu, a personal assistant across your computer screen; Prospera, which uses AI to make personalized sales coaching scalable for companies; and Beefair, an intelligent shopping assistant.
• Unleash creativity: From AI-generated art and music to interactive storytelling experiences, developers are using Gemini to push the boundaries of creative expression. Great examples include OutDraw, a fun human-vs-AI party game; everies, which bring the world around us to life with AR; and StudioBerry, an AI-driven screenplay collaboration app.
• Solve real-world problems: Gemini is powering solutions in healthcare, education, accessibility and more, empowering us to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges. We love seeing apps like Vite Vere, Gaze Link and EcoTrack use Gemini to build a better future for everyone.
