3 ways to find the lowest prices on holiday gifts

Cyber Five weekend, the five-day shopping period kicked off by Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, is nearly here! And right on time: Even though 45% of Americans have started their holiday shopping, most of them have only finished a third of it1.

By using the Google Shopping Graph (our database of over 45 billion product listings), we’ve come up with some great tips that will help you maximize savings and minimize stress as you shop online and in stores this Cyber Five weekend.

Find the lowest prices

Saving money is a top priority for most holiday shoppers2. With the new Google Shopping Deals page, you’ll never have to pay more than the lowest price. To get started, search “shop deals” or click the "Deals" button in the shopping tab. Quickly find deals tailored to your interests, as well as the biggest markdowns across popular categories like electronics, apparel, health and beauty, and more. Click on a product to see its price history, so you know if now is a good time to buy, and compare prices across retailers so you know if you’re getting the best deal today.

Spot in-store savings

Eighty-four percent of people say supporting local and/or small businesses is important to them. If that sounds like you, you’re in luck because you can easily use the “near me” filter on Google to find gifts nearby3. We’ve also made it easier for you to shop once you’re actually in the store: The latest Google Lens update makes it easy to do product research right from the aisle of stores that share their local inventory with Google. Look for Lens in your Google Search bar and snap a photo of beauty products, toys or electronics to instantly compare prices, read reviews and get insights tailored to the store you’re in.

Shop what’s hot

Ready to find the lowest price, but still stuck on exactly what to buy? The Holiday 100 can help you explore the hottest gifts and product trends that defined the year from retailers and brands across the web. Discover Y2K-inspired retro finds, wellness essentials, beauty must-haves and more.
